TRAINEE BREWER (BRISTOL)

Are you an aspiring brewer that would love to join an amazing operation?  Good, read on!

Who we are looking for:

We are headed into a massive 2020 which will see us cranking out more beer than ever, and are looking for a Trainee Brewer to join our team.  We would like someone that is either new to brewing (but with some education), or is already a brewer in a smaller operation who wants to move to a bigger, quality and production-focused operation.  In this role you will form an integral part of a small self-managing brewing team, and be involved with everything related to brewing, QC and packaging. 

This role will alternate between day and afternoon shift, and once trained will be included in weekend QC checks with the other members of the brewing team.  We are looking for the right person with the right attitude who wants to be a part of creating something special.

This role will suit someone who:

  • is self-motivated, proactive and flexible
  • has amazing attention to detail
  • the ability to multitask in a busy production environment
  • has a sense of humour
  • has a love of the art, science and history of brewing

MARKETING MANAGER (BRISTOL)

We have an amazing opportunity for a Marketing Manager to join us at Lost and Grounded Brewers!

Who we are looking for:

2020 is an exciting time for Lost and Grounded – we are growing fast and selling more delicious beer than ever.  We are looking for someone that will slot in with our values and culture, that will hit the ground running, and will be able to animate our brand and vision.  You must be creative, have a positive can-do attitude, a determined outlook, and have amazing attention to detail. We’re looking for someone who is self-motivated, excited to share their ideas and can work easily as part of a team.

This is a fast-paced and multifaceted role which will report to the company Co-Founder/Creative Lead and will need to handle complex timelines and competing priorities.  It will act as the central point to support our overall vision, new branding, advertising, events, sales activity and communications.

This role will take responsibility for:

  • Bringing exciting ideas to the table, backing them up with practical planning and budgeting. 
  • Developing and executing our annual Marketing and Events Plan in conjunction with our Creative Lead and National Sales Manager.
  • Nurturing our social media channels with consistent tone of voice, and development of professional content, including imagery.
  • Ensuring Point of Sale and merchandise are clever, used effectively and on-budget.
  • Managing overall marketing budgets (events, merchandise and travel).
  • Development of a new website, and ensuring regular content creation.
  • Representing us at events, both internal and external.
  • Fostering marketing-based relationships with all of our major customers to support our sales growth.

This role will suit someone who:

  • has love and passion for all things beer and Lost and Grounded.
  • is degree qualified (or has suitable experience) in marketing and design.
  • has marketing experience in beer.
  • has experience working with external design agencies and artists.
  • has brand management experience.
  • is seeking a change and wants to experience life with a young and dynamic company, in perhaps a new city.
  • has an exceptional attention to detail with a high level of IT and communication skills.
